The problem of drugs in the North has become prevalent over the last 10 years, especially to those communities that are accessible via roads. Inuvik is one of those communities and with the oil and gas exploration, the increase of drugs in the community has risen. The Inuvik Not-Us Committee is determined to take action against the drug dealers and create awareness and messaging to all member of the community that we care about what is happening in the our community.
We would like to see more advertisements in the community promoting the fight against drug dealers.
We want to create more drug awareness around prevention and promotion in the schools.
We want to see less drug use in the community.
We want to see a joint effort in this campaign with numerous partners.
We want to see less crime in Inuvik.
